Consider velvet shoes for the ladies and velvet bow ties for the gents. Add velvet ribbon to bouquets and floral arrangements. Hot beverages and comfort foods are welcome!

Temperatures at Christmas can be chilly, and while you’ve got your love to keep you warm, your guests will welcome beverages like hot cocoa with peppermint stirrers, warm apple cider, wassail, or mulled wine.   And when we think holiday dining, we think comfort foods. Heavy Hors D’oeuvres and/or a traditional sit down dinner are perfect for this time of year. Keeping with the season, how about a gingerbread or spice wedding cake served with caramel cream cheese icing for the perfect finish?

Christmas isn’t complete without holiday tunes and neither is your Christmas wedding!

Some tips to remember when planning your winter wedding

are to connect early with vendors because they are often booked for the holidays. Inform your guests of the type venue you have chosen and suggest what type of layered clothing they may need. Also, don’t forget that timing for the ceremony is important. Winter months have fewer hours of beautiful natural daylight. You will want to be sure to talk with your photographer about the best time to get the outdoor photos you want.
